K-Zoom the 'phone-cam' from Samsung
Along with the increasing desire of phone manufacturers to boost the number of cores and their speed on a device, the second most upgraded thing is the camera. “Camera-war” started years ago and since then, all smartphone manufacturers pushed on and on and increased the optical sensor from a generation to another.
Samsung just released a “phone-cam”. It's a smartphone for the photo enthusiasts, or a photo camera for those who want a phone as well. The new device from the Korean manufacturer feels like a smartphone. It's actually a good smartphone with a huge camera glued in.
Here are the figures. At its thickest point, the K Zoom has 0.79 mm and an average of 0.65 mm. The problem everyone noticed is the phone's weight. At 200 grams it feels heavy no mater the angle, smartphone or camera. The K Zoom has a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display. The phone runs on 4.4 KitKat Android and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It has 2 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage that can be boosted through a SD Card. It also features 4G LTE connectivity and a huge 2,430 mAh battery.
The rear camera is really impressive. It hosts a 20 Megapixel BSI CMOS sensor. Samsung has put some work into its software and the device really feels like a camera. It has tones of options for taking photos, as for video recording, it will support full HD video.
