Is this HTC's new flagship?
HTC has struck oil with its latest flagship device called the One M8. The phone featured a great design, specs and premium feel. But wait, there's more, leaked out information and photos reveal a new project coming from HTC.
It looks like the Taiwanese manufacturer is planning a shocking release. Rumors in the tech world say that HTC is working on a larger beefed up brother for the M8. Allegedly the project received the codename “One M8 Prime”.
The specs and the photos were released by eveleaks and the phone appears to have a 5.5 inch QHD display. That would really be impressive. The increase in size would be dramatic, but the resolution would be even more astonishing, 2,560 by 1,440 versus the Full HD display on the M8 sounds nice.
The same source claims the handset would feature 3 GB of RAM and would be powered by a new Qualcomm Spandragon 805 chipset. Existing 805 processors run impressive speed of up to 2,7 GHz per core.
The One M8 Prime is also said to be HTC's first water proof phone and probably the biggest thing of all, a category 6LTE connectivity capability. 4G LTE connectivity is still in its early life and to talk about a 6 LTE is something out of the ordinary. The 6 LTE technology promises download speeds of up to 300 Mbps, but also high definition voice and video calls.
