Slovenian PM Alenka Bratusek resigned
Alenka Bratusek, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, resigned on Monday after she lost command of her party 10 days ago.
Bratusek said in a post on her Twitter account that she hopes for elections this summer.
"If all are true to their word, we will have an election before the summer," she wrote. However, the constitutional regulations may make it hard to happen that fast.
"We need the election as soon as possible so that a new government would come in and carry on with reforms," said Saso Stanovnik, chief economist of investment firm Alta Invest. “If the new government is not sufficiently reform-oriented we could be facing bailout speculation again at the end of 2015," he added.
