EU and French politicians revolted by Yemen attacks
EU and French politicians are determined to seek justice for the French EU delegate killed in Yemen capital of Sanaa.
Catherine Ashton, EU foreign policy chief, has condemned this last killing in ‘the highest terms’ while French president Francois Hollande said he will use every resource needed to catch the unidentified gunmen.
Monday’s killing follows after a failed kidnap attempt from last month when several men opened fire on a German diplomat’s car.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the killing of one French man and the injuring of another, although Yemen is home to al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Witness say that: ‘We heard the shooting and we ran to the scene where we found two Frenchmen wounded by unknown gunmen – we don’t know who is behind the attack.’
