Watch out what you post on Facebook if you don't want a fine!
Facebook is already a social phenomenon, but sometimes it's too much. The latest example of how not to use you personal account comes from Switzerland. A women was fined after posting the exact location of a police speed radar.
The woman passed the radar and then though about noticing all her friends on the social network. Little did she knew that since 2013, publicizing the location of any police speed radar in the country is forbidden by law.
The woman was fined 920 euros for disclosing the radar's location. Local police confirmed social platforms like Facebook and Twitter are scanned. “We regularly come across warnings of this kind on social media networks,” said Stefan Oberlin, local police spokesman.
The Swiss law states, “Public warnings to road users concerning official traffic control devices” are punishable by a fine. The Police spokesman also made it clear that a public statement means any notification released to more than 50 people. Anything less is considered a private group.
