How to deal with naysayers

You can't always avoid negative people, even though you want it. Family, friends, coworkers, bosses, sometimes you must have daily contact with people who radiate negative energy.

Negative people always see the glass as half empty. They always expect the worst in any situation. They are always criticizing others. They are quick when it comes to suspect others as being jealous, evil wishers and selfish. They themselves are selfish and cold, becaming warm only to those who they can benefit from. They make you feel unhappy and exhausted, whenever you're around them.

If you know someone who is like that and you subconsciously or actively wish to know how you relate towards them, here are a few tips that could be very useful.

Stop feeling like a martyr or to keep your head in the sand.

Recognize the effect such a person has on you and decides  to do something about it.

A negative person feeds with your reactions. Do not lett them know that you feel hurt, upset or angry because of their words or actions.

Keep interactions and conversations limited to a minimum. Sometimes positive and sensitive people can not stop being nice and open to negative people. That is a big mistake!

Keep the distance and stay radiant.

Listen to beautiful and soothing music whenever you can. Music can heal and purify.

Project the positive! Get out and do something good for someone. Give a helping hand. Provide a smile.

Remember, evil and cruel words that come from a negative person are an expression of its own unhappiness and frustration. They do not reflect nor should reflect anything negative upon you.

And finally, learn to clean the negative cobwebs and have some fresh air. "Toxic people pollute everything around them. Do not hesitate. Apply some incense ." (Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass)
