Miuccia Prada among the most powerful women

The famous US business journal Forbes revealed recently its own top regarding the most powerful women on Earth. According to Forbes, second to none there is the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Having in hands the biggest economy in Europe and one of the largest in the world, she is considered the most powerful woman in the world.

She was followed by Christine Lagrade, the French managing director of the International Monetary Fund who clinched the fifth position. Surprisingly, fashion names found a way to enter the rankings. Prada, Miuccia Prada was placed by Forbes along with other important figures.

Miuccia Prada is the only Italian woman to reach the top 100 according to Forbes. Her fortune is estimated at 10.5 billion dollars. In the fashion world she is like a goddess. Her opinion is valued in this world and the famous US journal described her as always being spot on trend.

“Prada” was founded by her grandfather a century ago and since February 2014 she was the president of the company. Miuccia is regarded as the one that made Prada similar to elegance. She stepped down as a president this year and took on the co-CEO position.
