Kristen Stewart received a wolf for her birthday

Kristen Stewart was "delighted" to receive the dangerous canine from her mother Jules when she turned 24 last week.

The former 'Twilight' "sees nothing wrong" with keeping it as pet, despite that wolves are native to the wilderness.

A source told the Daily Star: "Kristen and her mum adore wolves and see nothing wrong with keeping them as domesticated pets. Jules secured the rescue wolf last month, then brought him along to Kristen's Malibu beach house as a surprise on her birthday. She was delighted, and was soon even sharing cakes with him".

Her neighbours are furious at the prospect of keeping a wild animal in the area.

A source added: "Jules has always had run-ins with her neighbours over the issue in the past, but Kristen has always longed for one of her own".
