Harrison Ford returns as Han Solo
At 71 years old, Harrison Ford still has it! The Hollywood star returned to the Star Wars franchise. Production company Bad Robot revealed on its official Twitter account a photo from the first day of filming “Star Wars Episode VII”.
Harrison Ford is famous for his performance in the original Star Wars trilogy as Han Solo. His last appearance as Han Solo was in 1983 in “Return of the Jedi”. 31 years later he is returning on the set under the same character.
Star Wars Episode VII also features Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Foster as Leia Solo and Peter Maytew as Chewbacca. The movie is directed by JJ Abrams renowned for movies such as Mission Impossible III, Star Trek and Star Trek into Darkness.
Filming Star Wars Episode VII will take the crew from Abu Dhabi to Iceland, London and also Morocco and Tunisia. The film is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015.
