Chris and Gwyneth split! Consequence: website crashed!
Gwyneth Paltrow's website crashed Tuesday due to flooding with hits. Readers got crowded on her lifestyle blog Goop, after Gwyneth announced in a statement that she and Coldplay husband, Chris Martin, are separating after being married for 10 years.
The site clearly couldn't bear the sudden influx of visitors and crashed under the strain.
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate", reads the post titled "Conscious Uncoupling".
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We have always conducted our relationship privately and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner".
Their marriage started on December 2003 and they conceived a daughter named Apple (9 years old) and a son Moses (7 years old).
She will always prioritise their well-being family: "When I'm with my kids, I give them everything I have. And when I'm not, I give whatever I'm doing everything I have. And that's my work/life balance", she told Red magazine last year.
"I've made it work for me, but it doesn't matter what my specific thing is, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. It matters what you think of yourself. And what your children think. So if anyone is going to ask my advice, I'd say, do what is right for you and don't give a s**t what anyone else thinks."
