Netflix subscription fee raised by $1
Netflix will be raising its subscribe fee by $1, making the total price for a month’s subscription $8.99.
Although news about the raise were disclosed for some time now, Netflix announced the final price only this Friday.
The company also assured existing users that their fee will not increase for a period of two years.
The company raised the subscription fee ‘in order to continue adding more movies and TV shows.’
After the major hit Netflix had had with TV shows like ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’, their member range skyrocketed from 10 million in 2008 to 40 million in 2013.
