Dolomites Mountains, Italy
The Dolomites mountains from the north of Italy are one of the most beautiful mountains in some people's opinion. Jagged peaks, relaxed atmosphere, a great diversity in terms of difficulty routes, accessibility maps, outdoor museums of war, the tunnels dug into the rock sometimes almost vertical, hidden lakes in the forest, high altitude that can be reached easily by car, many means of transport facilities and special discounts during the week, waterfalls, the highest wall in the world (1200 meters in the Civetta massif) and so on.
Accomodation
You can either stay at the Rosetta cabin, from the Pale di San Martino, with €20/person or sleep in a camping, which is what people usually do. In Cortina d'Ampezzo you can stay in the Rocchetta camping, that is next to Cortina camping. The hot showers are always available, you also have a place to wash the dishes there and non-stop toilets. Under Pelmo massif you can stay at the Cadore camping, which is always fresh and clean. The Sass Maor camping from San Martino di Canazei is big and quiet but the sand there makes camping a bit difficult.
Sights
The main attraction in the Dolomites are the via ferrata routes. There are at least three easier or more difficult paths to climb with special equipment in each massif.
Cristallo di Tofana Roses, Tofana di Mezzo, Monte Paterno, Pelmo, Civetta, Sorapiss, property, Pale di San Martino, Catinaccio, Sassolungo. Many emblems of the Dolomites: Tre Cime, Vajolet towers, each solid itself with its Marmolada eternal glacier and many others are there for you to discover.
Why go there?
It is extremely easy and convenient to go there by car and stay in a camping. The world is civilized, you do not hear all kind of noises like you do in the city, prices are much lower than hotels and hostels and the view is breathtaking!
