Mark Ruffalo gets wallet back from stranger

Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo had his belief in humanity reinforced after a stranger returned his wallet which he found in a cab.

Ruffalo lost his wallet in a Chicago cab and, when Ross McHale found it he tweeted the actor about it, saying that: ‘I have your wallet. Found it in a cab in Chicago on Friday. Let me know the best way to get it back to you. Thanks.’

After looking at the actor’s ID, McHale said he did not recognize the actor initially.

Ruffalo tweeted back: ‘thank you! Wow! Another point for the decency in people. You are a hero!’

Although there were some who criticized the fact that Ruffalo gave no reward for getting back his lost wallet, McHale said that the claims were: ‘false and misleading. He couldn't have been more gracious,’ and that he expects Ruffalo to do the same for him if he ever come upon his lost wallet.
