Tech giants hit the 'rich-list'
Personal technology began rising at high speeds about a decade ago or so and the minds that orchestrated this trend are now richer than some small countries. I-giants, date base companies or gadget companies pushed a few men between the richest of them all.
According to Bloomberg's 2014 rich-list, second to none stands Bill Gates. He is the riches man on Earth with a net worth of almost 80 billion dollars. He is the co-founder of Microsoft, the world's biggest software maker. He even took his fortune outside the US. He is the largest shareholder at the biggest railway operator in Canada. He is also a renowned philanthropist. Some figures say he donated more than 25 billion dollars to his foundation.
Not so close to Gates we find Larry Ellison. With a net worth of 46 billions, Elliot clinched the eight spot on the same list. He is the founder and largest shareholder at Oracle, the biggest database company in the world. He also owns various percentages at NetSuite, LeapFrog Enterprises and Redwood City. Two years ago he bought 98 percent of the Hawaiian island of Lanai for 300 million dollars.
Probably the biggest rise in Bloomberg's rich-list was recorded by Mark Zuckerberg. Co-founder and CEO of Facebook, Zuckerberg's net worth was estimated at 27 billion dollars. Only last year his fortune wen up by eight billions. The brand he created is one of the most renowned world wide with more that 1.1 billion people using the platform he imagined monthly.
