Norwegian operator gets reward for finding a treasure
The 22 year old operator that found 150,000 Norwegian kroner (14,000 euros) in a safe box was rewarded. The business man who dumped, by mistake, the safe box offered a reward.
John Erik Tveitdal confirmed the information for the local VG newspaper. “The person who owns the money called me and said I should get a reward. I'm very happy. It was easy money,” said the 22 year old Norwegian.
The metal recycling operator said the business man offered him 12,000 kroner (1,500 euros) for finding the money. However, the business man who wanted to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, became so generous only after the story got out and mass-media became very vocal over a reward for the young man.
