Motorola Solutions was bought for 3.5 billions
How much would 3.45 billion US dollars weigh? Or how large would a 3.45 million US dollar stack be? Well, the guys at Motorola Solutions definitely know.
The communication and telecom equipment provider was acquired by Zebra Technologies for the same amount of money. The most interesting thing about the deal is the fact that it was an all-cash transaction. The deal was approved and confirmed by both sides, but now it has to wait for some independent regulatory approvals.
Zebra Technologies is a company based in Vernon Hills, Illinois that makes barcode printing supplies, receipt and inventory management tools for large companies such as Amazon.
Zebra reported 2013 sales above 1 billion dollars, while the figure tops 3,5 billion when combined with those of Motorola Solutions. The move makes Zebra Technologies a giant force in the manufacturing technology sector.
