Britain’s economy at a six years peak
Britain’s economy has been enjoying a steady growth in the first quarter of 2014.
At 3.1 percent, its annual GDP expansion is the strongest it has been in the last six years, gross domestic product rising 0.8 percent from the previous quarter.
Although the economical growth isn’t as good for Great Britain as it was before the 2008-2009 period and it is lower than Reuters economists originally predicted, the figures still put a smile on Prime Minister David Cameron’s face.
With a general election due to come in May, Cameron is trying to convince the British that the Conservative Party he represents is restoring the country to financial health.
As is the case with Britain, many other rich countries have recovered their pre-recession economic stability.
