50 million euros for charity
A lucky man from France won 72 million euros at the EuroMillions lottery. The man plans to give away about 50 million euros to national charity groups. The winner wanted to remain anonymous even after the announcement he made.
The ticket was validated in Haute-Garonne, a region in south-western France. The jackpot was the seventh largest since the EuroMillions lottery began to work about a decade ago and the second largest in the region after a man won 101.8 million euros in 2012.
The exact jackpot was 72,149.579 euros. The winner claims he wants to give away 50 millions to ten of the largest charity organisations in France. This would make him the only lottery winner in French history to donate a large amount like this.
The winner wants to remain anonymous and the only information media found out about him is that he is around 50 years old and has no children.
